Least Developed Countries Report 2008

This report, prepared by UNCTAD and embargoed until 17 July, analyzes the world's poorest countries, including Bangladesh. It argues that the development model least developed countries (LDCs) have been pursuing is neither sustainable nor inclusive. The solution proposed is the development of a very strong partnership between donors and national governments, which means that richer countries should execute their rights to lead aid disbursements and therefore, indirectly, establish national priorities and policies.

In my opinion, this is very positive since it avoids corruption in terms of aid, but it only works under the assumption that richer countries don't have specific interests, that they do not have a double agenda and that their only objective is helping fighting poverty. Otherwise it is called international interference, meddling or injerencia en espanol.
